As I reflect on 2017, I am so grateful for all our wedding parties. Our job as hair and makeup artists is such a unique experience. We get a glimpse into the lives of best friends and families. The holiday season, as busy as it can be. Is also a time to slow down and enjoy the family and friends that you may rarely get to see throughout the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Weddings are the same, making people slow down, enjoy and celebrate something together.
This. This, is the best part of life. The part where we remember the best times of life and celebrate the future, together.

We raise a glass to our past clients and welcome our 2018 wedding parties! Here's to many more memories shared, and new ones you will make. We look forward to being a very small part of your greatest memory!

MIAMI SWIM WEEK!

Well I finally made it to South Beach! I've never been and what an experience it was. I was referred to Brian Hawkins lead hair, by my sweet friend Amanda. She and I grew up together and I have come to admire her work on so many levels.

Amanda and I made a ton of memories. It all started out with my A/C going out in my car half way to Miami. Which means we still had 2 hours to go! I have never been hotter! I'm pretty sure we never cooled off.  We had planned to arrive early enough to check out the beach or sit by the pool, Once we finally made it to our fabulous hotel. We only had time to shower and head to our first job. Thank god for Uber!
We got back from our first job kinda late. We grabbed a snack and hung by the pool, until it closed.

The following day we had an early call time, protein shakes for breakfast it was.

Once our work was finished we finally had a chance to go to the beach!! It was just gorgeous!
Grabbing drinks by the pool and dreaming about our future in the hair and makeup industry was the perfect end to our stay in South Beach.
Check out these stunning models and their designer swim wear!! We had a blast! Can't wait to do it again.
SwimWear : Yandy, Hammock Swin, Kaohs Swim, Revel Rey Swim, Lycra Brand, and Keva J Swimwear.
Sponsors: Suddfxinc, Cricket Tools, Canviiy, RSession Pro, Luma Brush, Bio Ionic, Sprnette Hair Brushes, Beauty Launch Pad.

I'm so ecstatic to say... We've been published in Smitten Magazine Lifestyle Issue with 12 fabulous pages!

We had an amazing team that made this shoot come together. You know what they say, 'Team work makes the dream work.'
This was one of my favorite shoots. I really wanted to do something that wasn't so bridal, pink and flowery. Although I find those things amazing in their own way. I was looking to venture into something different and more editorial. So this is where our Native Love shoot was born. I am forever grateful to Shannon & Jenna from Busy Bee for understanding my vision and putting it all together and Kathy from Kathy Thomas Photography for capturing it so beautifully.

Of course we had a lot of talented vendors that helped to put this together. Check them out!

New Year

1/14/2016

I have a hard time saying good bye, to every passing year. I just like to hang on, and squeeze out every last ounce of it. With every new year, it seems to pass by faster, and faster.

I am so honored that in 2015.  I was able to be a small part of so many brides, and their close family and friends big day. As they prepared for a ceremony that would last in their memories, for a lifetime. I have the best job in the world. Seeing sister's, and best friends, come together to support the bride on her special day. Popping champagne and reminiscing, laughing, hugging, crying.

Watching as Father's see their baby girl all grown up, for the first time. Aunts, Uncles, Cousins all popping in to say hi. The sweet tears of joy that flow, causing a ripple effect through out the room.
So many emotions, hopes and dreams all in one little place.

Somehow, almost every wedding. After packing up and saying good bye to our new found friends. As we walk through the hallway, we pass by the groom and all his best men. They are always laughing, and carrying on. Sometimes still a little woozy from the night before, but non the less. Filled with excitement. He knows his bride is preparing.

During these times of preparing. For them, time seems to stand still. Soaking in anticipation, waiting to see each other, and begin a new journey.

It's such a magical time.
So we raise a glass to all our gorgeous brides, and handsome grooms, of 2015. Thank you for trusting us with your beauty needs. May 2016 shine on you as you embark on your journey.

Orlando weddings. consultations!

We do a lot of consultations lately. Most brides don't know what to expect at a consult.
So, I'm gonna tell ya!...

Maybe your wondering, should I spend the money, for a consult? The answer is YES! It is worth every penny. That's right, most consultations, aren't free. Think of it as an investment for your wedding day!
Picture
Bring photo's, your veil, and any clips you may want in your hair. Have a good idea of what you would like to look like, on your wedding day. Be realistic. If you have really short hair, and you want a full top knot. It's probably not going to happen.

The consultation is the perfect time to tell your stylist, how you really feel. If you had a good idea of what you wanted, the stylist delivered it, and you're just not diggin' it. Tell them! A consultation usually consist of one look. But, this doesn't mean you can't tell them what you do, or don't like.
Picture
Last, but not least. Take pictures if you must. This is one of my pet peeves. Although I understand the want, and need to do so. I still hate it. Your camera, or camera phone just won't do it justice. Your photographer is a professional, and lighting makes a huge difference.

If you can, hire your stylist for a consult. I promise it will be worth it!
